In 1968, Doug Tompkins, Yvon Chouinard, and three others set out from California for Patagonia, aiming to climb Cerro Fitz Roy. Dubbing themselves the Fun Hogs, they documented their trip on a 16mm Bolex camera, capturing surfing undiscovered waves, skiing on sand and snow, and spending 31 days in a snow cave.
